Nanotech Industrial Products X Cross-Cut Template is a professional X Cross-Section Tester for the precise and reliable determination of the bond strength and adhesion of coatings, particularly of painted surfaces and similar specimens, using a precise Grid-Cut Knives and a precise X Cross-Cut Template.

The test method of the X Cross-section is based on the testing standards ISO 2409, ISO 16276 and ASTM D3359 Method A performed. In this process, the adhesion strength of surface coatings is determined using a Cross-section was determined. The Cross-section template features a precise 35° X Cross-Cut as well as pitch distances for Lattice Cuts with 6 slots spaced 2 mm and 3 mm apart. • For coating thicknesses ranging from 121 µm to 250 µm, a cross-hatch pattern with a grid spacing of 3 mm is recommended.

The Cross-section test is performed using a 35° X Cross-Cut Template This test is performed by making scratches at an angle of 30°–45° into the surface coating; these scratches intersect in the center to form an “X,” creating an “X” pattern. After carefully removing dust and loose particles, this X-pattern is evaluated with the naked eye and using a magnifying glass. The evaluation is conducted on a 6-point scale; these levels are designated as Cross-Section Parameters denoted; here, for example, "GT 0" indicates very good adhesion properties.
