In addition to the testing standard: Using a larger funnel outlet opening typically places your sample testing outside the recognized ISO/USP specifications. You are following an 'internal testing method' instead of a globally comparable and recognized testing standard.

The 'avalanche' effect: A jet of 10 mm or larger is much heavier. The weight of the falling powder can compact the powder cone, often resulting in a slightly shallower angle than a standard test would indicate.
